The Ceremony
While it is an intimate gathering, an actual wedding at the old Orange County courthouse is very quick and you will need to be aware of that. Most reviews point to only a couple of minutes allocated to the wedding, five minutes for the ceremony, and an extra five for the shoot. This means you and your guests and photographers must be on time. The ceremony is conducted in a non-sectarian fashion, although it will be legally recognized.
The highlight of the wedding is usually the photoshoot which offers options of the stairways, the exterior, and the palm trees that line up the walkway. With an experienced photographer or videographer, you will get very beautiful shots from inside and outside the venue.
It is important to note that parking might be a challenge so prepare to carpool or find alternative parking, as well as a reception venue for the meal and party if you intend to have one.
There are a number of Mexican, Spanish and Italian cafes and spaces around that you can use as a reception venue. Planning an old Orange County courthouse wedding should be a fun challenge, and if you are in need of a wedding photographer and videographer that understands weddings in Los Angeles, we would be more than happy to help.
