What’s the best time to take getting ready pics?

The wedding photographer will usually arrive while you’re getting your hair and makeup done. This is a great time to take some candid shots of you and your bridesmaids chatting and laughing. If you have a first look planned, we recommend taking most of your getting ready pics before you see your groom. That way, you can focus on enjoying your wedding day without worrying about getting your photos taken.

What should I wear for my getting ready pics?

Your wedding dress is the star of the show, so we recommend saving it for later in the day. Instead, opt for a white robe or something comfortable that you can wear while you’re getting your hair and makeup done. You can also bring along a special piece of jewelry or something that has sentimental value to you.

Should my groom be in the getting ready pics?

If your groom is comfortable being photographed, we recommend including him in some of the shots. He could be shaving or putting on his boutonniere, for example. Alternatively, you could have the wedding photographer capture some shots of him getting ready with his groomsmen.

But I won’t be wearing any makeup!

Even if you’re not wearing any makeup, we recommend having your wedding photographer take some getting ready pics. They’ll be able to capture the emotion of the day and the excitement of seeing you in your wedding dress for the first time. Plus with or without makeup, you’ll still look gorgeous!

How do I relax the morning of my wedding?

One of the best ways to relax on your wedding day is to breathe. Take a few deep breaths and remind yourself that this is a happy occasion. You can also try some relaxation exercises or listen to calming music. If you’re feeling particularly nervous, ask a bridesmaid or your wedding planner to stay with you during the morning. Make sure to surround yourself with people you love. Is there a cousin that you don’t particularly like, don’t let them intrude on your morning!

I’m not comfortable being photographed. What should I do?

If you’re not comfortable being photographed, that’s okay! You can tell the wedding photographer which shots you’re comfortable with and which ones you’re not. We recommend having a friend or family member help to direct the wedding photographer so that you don’t have to worry about it on the day.

What if I’m not happy with my wedding photos?

If you’re not happy with your wedding photos, talk to your wedding photographer. They should be willing to make adjustments or retake the shots that you’re not happy with. Remember, these are your wedding photos and you should be 100% happy with them!
