The best wedding photos, if they can be ranked, are usually the most candid. The moment that reminds you forever of the moment that you made the best decision of your married life. Not all moments can be candid though, and wedding photo session ideas can be yet another item to tick off your list. While your photographer can suggest ideas that they think can work based off experience and creativity, having your own inspiration can be calming. Here are some wedding photo session ideas that you can incorporate into your wedding and create memories that you will treasure for years to come.
Your photo session will be stellar
This timeless wedding poses is as iconic as the Statue of Liberty, and just because it has existed for generations doesn’t make it less appealing. What you want to showcase is that you’re as close to each other as you’ve ever been. This poses should remind you of how intimate the both of you now are: most poses will have your waists only separated by your navels, as you stare into each other’s eyes and forget, for at least a moment, that anyone else exists.
Depending on your feelings towards publics displays of affection, you can wrap your hands around each other, kiss and be as free with each other as you would like.
There are variations to these poses, and you can stand in front of each other, do the swan-like poses, hold hands and stare into each other’s eyes, recreate that first look, that first kiss, play with each other’s hair and have as much intimacy on film as you would like.
These are the photos that will well your eyes with tears from how much emotion they will evoke.
These are physically less intimate, although they still bring out the sense of trust and companionship that you have for each other. You can have a variety of photos, walking together through the chosen venue, walking side by side, groom leading bride and bride leading groom. Add the send off pose, where the guests and wedding party look by as you exit the venue and you have poses to fill your album’s bucket list. These poses are a perfect mix of fun and serious, and you can have as much fun as you would like exploring and making the most of the venue for the day. You can even have a ‘chase’ and add extra fun to your album.
These poses will make up the photos that you’ll look back at and laugh at how fun the day was. There’s a wide range of poses to do here; from the selfie pose, to piggy back rides, to making use of swings (and slides), cheesy facial expression, unbuttoned shirts and shoe-less feet, to carrying each other. These poses should be the most relaxed, less intimate but the most fun of the bunch. You want your inner child at play here, doing all the facial and physical expressions of how special this day is to the both of you, your family and your friends.
Hopefully this brings you closer to the kind of session that you would like, and the ideas to explore as you get ready for your big day.
