Seaport District | NYC engagement

Awhile back we had a limited giveaway on our IG for an engagement shoot in NYC. We had a ton of response and some great love stories (we asked each couple to submit the story of how they met). Jennifer & Jovany are a sweet and fun couple who live in Miami, but Jennifer always dreamed of having her engagement shoot in New York City. So when this opportunity arose, she jumped on it and submitted. Lo and behold, they won the NYC engagement shoot contest! They flew in just for the engagement shoot, and it was well worth it.

We decided on the Seaport district; The Seaport District is New York’s original commercial hub, located on the East River in Lower Manhattan with stunning views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the NYC skyline. The historic cobblestones of the Seaport have since been transformed into 450,000 square feet of dynamic culinary, fashion, entertainment and cultural experiences that both locals and visitors can enjoy. They wanted a New York engagement shoot – and a New York engagement shoot is what they got!

We then made our way across by the water to Pier 17 . Home to the Seaport Museum and the city’s largest concentration of restored maritime buildings, Pier 17 is being reclaimed for New Yorkers via dynamic food, drink, art, architecture, retail, and entertainment concepts that foster community and engage the city’s denizens, year-round. Pier 17 and the surrounding Seaport District comes out of its tourist trap shadows as its new tenants incorporate the neighborhood’s rich past, while embracing its future as a port of discovery. The heineken riverdeck made for a great place to get some enchanting and iconic New York city engagement photos.

Some cool colors and easy going attitudes, made for a great engagement session that Jennifer had always envisioned. Dreams do come true!
