Located amidst the picturesque Malibu mountains, this venue features some of the most breathtaking views in Southern California, making it a favorite spot for capturing stunning sunset moments during weddings. Unlike traditional wedding venues, this private estate offers an intimate atmosphere, allowing photographers to focus on the intricate details of the space. The well-maintained flora adds to the charm of the property, providing numerous intimate spots for capturing beautiful portraits of couples. All Exterior Access

This venue provides full access to the exterior grounds and includes a small room for preparation. Please be aware that no food or beverages are permitted indoors, and there are no shower facilities available. It is recommended for couples to get ready at their hotel prior.

Vendors:

Catering + Valet are required in house

Couples are allowed to hire any vendor outside of Food & Beverage, Valet, furniture rentals and bathroom facilities. Photographers, videographers, day-of planners, and DJs and more may be hired separately.

Wedding Flow

At Stone Mountain Estates, couples have the option of selecting from various ceremony and reception areas, with the helipad standing out as the most picturesque choice. Perched atop the estate, it offers sweeping views of the Malibu mountains, setting the stage for breathtaking sunset ceremonies and intimate receptions. Depending on preference, the ceremony can be held here or at a separate location. Following the ceremony, cocktail hour typically takes place on the top deck, providing guests with a stunning vista overlooking the helipad. Given the limited interior access and the emphasis on outdoor settings, many couples opt to prepare at off-site locations. Ultimately, the focus of the day remains on the unparalleled views and natural beauty surrounding the estate.

Getting Ready

It's recommend that couples start their preparations at their hotels or Airbnbs due to restrictions on interior space, which only accommodates up to five people with limited amenities. This may pose challenges, especially if the bride or groom need to get ready before a first look.

First Look Spots

Numerous locations are available for the first look, with the helipad and garden area being the most popular choices. Alternatively, if you prefer to see each other for the first time at the ceremony, the bride can descend the stairs from the top deck towards the helipad.

Guests Arriving

Guests have access to valet parking for up to 55 cars, although it's strongly recommended that couples arrange shuttle services to and from the venue. Prior to ceremony, bride and groom may be tucked away into the holding room or one of the more secluded locations at the top deck.

From Ceremony to Reception

Your chosen layout at Stone Mountain Estates offers various advantages tailored to your guest size and preferred setting. Among these options, the helipad stands out as the most expansive, offering unparalleled views and ample space for larger gatherings. Opting for both ceremony and reception on the helipad allows for a seamless transition, with the possibility of flipping the setup during cocktail hour. Additionally, it serves as an ideal location for the dance floor, providing guests with ample room to move and mingle throughout the celebration.

Cocktail hours typically take place on the upper deck or in the garden area. This serves as a smooth transition for guests moving between the ceremony and reception areas, especially when there's a flip on the lawn or the helipad.
